Celebrate the fall season at the Boot Scootin’ Boogie Dinner Dance on Friday, September 18 at the Event Center hosted by the Couples Club of Rossmoor.  Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with time to grab a drink at the bar with a variety of beverages including beer, chardonnay and sauvignon blanc white wine. pinot noir red wine, soft drinks and water. Members are also welcome to bring a beverage of their choice. Enjoy a variety of appetizers such as: jalapeño poppers, deviled eggs and bourbon glazed burnt ends.  

At 6:15 p.m. a buffet dinner will be served including barbecued chicken, pulled pork, baby back ribs, cornbread with honey and butter, potato salad, macaroni and cheese, cole slaw salad and barbecue baked beans.  The vegetarian option is a stuffed portobello mushroom. Dessert will feature seasonal peach cobbler and cowboy cookies with a decaf coffee service. There will be dance music from 7:15 to 9:15 p.m. by the J. Silverheels band, with 5 musicians playing classic rock and oldies.  Start practicing your Texas Two Step for those western tunes.

The activity fees for September are $55 for a single member (singles may bring a non member at the member cost), $110 for each member couple, and $60 per guest of a member. Guests are welcome at this event. Club members are encouraged to register and pay for their reservations online using the Couples Club of Rossmoor website. Sign in using your email and password. Click on the Boot Scootin’ Boogie button found under UPCOMING EVENTS. Register and pay by credit card. Indicate vegetarian choice, if desired . For members who prefer to sit together at a table of eight or ten choose a unique one word table name and put it in the space marked “Unique Name” (for example, Smith ). For those wanting to pay by check, make it payable to Couples Club of Rossmoor. Mail checks to Mary Neff, 3267 Rossmoor Parkway, No. 3, Entry 2. Or members may drop checks in the box located on Neff’s upstairs front porch.  Enclose a note with the checks listing the names of those wanting to sit together. Seating will be assigned, unless a preference is marked with a “Unique Name” when registering. . Do not drop off any checks at Gateway.
