COME EARLY, PARKING IS LIMITED & HOSPICE HAS AN EVENT AT 5p.m.

On Thursday, August 13 at the Dollar Picnic Grounds, the Couples Club will host an Italian Country Picnic with premium wine tasting, live musicand dinner. The activity fees for the event are $120 for a member and partner, $60 for an individual member and $70 for each guest of a member.

The party will open at 4:30 pm. with wine tasting, featuring exquisite wines from Rosscienda Winery and Vineyards located in the Aptos, California hills, five miles from the Monterey Bay. Owners Doug and Jenny Ross, along with talented winemaker Matt De Silva, will be on hand to host the tasting event. They will share their passion for winemaking and explain the unique process behind each of the seven featured vintages, including superb Chardonnays, delightful Pinot Noirs and a robust Syrah. After the tasting guests will have the opportunity to order their favorite selections. Nibbles will be provided during the wine tasting. The dinner will begin at 5:45 pm. and will be served buffet style. The entrees will be Italian roasted chicken with fresh rosemary, and eggplant parmigiano. Sides will be cold grilled vegetable platter, caesar salad with shaved parmigiana, and sliced Italian style bread. The dessert will be Limoncello cake. Sparkling water, Italian sodas, regular and diet Coke and beer will be provided. Rosscienda is donating one bottle of white and one bottle of red wine for each table!    Music for the event will be provided by Just Friends, Rossmoor’s popular residents ensemble. Members are encouraged to make and pay for their reservations online using the Couples Club of Rossmoor website.  To register and pay online on the website’s home page, log in using email and password. Click on the Italian Country Picnic & Wine Tasting under UPCOMING EVENTS above, this will take you to the registration page. Members wanting to reserve and pay by check can make check to Couples Club of Rossmoor. It can be mailed to Alice Lowe at 3282 Ptarmigan Drive, #1B, entry 19 or placed in the box by her front door. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, August 5. No refunds will be available after that date. Do not drop off any checks at the Gateway mailbox for the Couples Club.
