Progressive Dinner Thursday, Oct 15th-Registration open Sept 23rd

Couples Club of Rossmoor will once again hold the popular Progressive Dinner on Thursday, October 15 in the Event Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. The purpose of the dinner is to meet and become friends with new couples. Each couple will be seated with three different couples for each course of the meal. After three courses, each couple will have met nine new couples. Dressy casual attire is appropriate.

Before dinner, attendees will mingle for appetizers and drinks. Passed appetizers will be meatballs in a honey barbecue sauce and loaded potato bites with cheese, bacon, sour cream, and green onion. Beverages provided will be red wine, white wine, beer, non-alcoholic beer, sodas and sparkling water. Simple Elegance will prepare all the food for this event.

For the salad course, couples will go to their assigned tables. Caesar salad with freshly grated Parmesan, croutons, and Caesar dressing will be served family style. A Champagne vinaigrette dressing is a vegan and vegetarian option. French rolls and focaccia bread with butter will also be served.

Couples will move to the next assigned tables for entrees. The entrees will be grilled chicken breast in a Marsala mushroom sauce (gluten free). The vegetarian option is grilled vegetable Napoleon with chimichurri sauce (gluten free/vegan). Pre-ordering the vegetarian option when you register for the event is necessary. Side dishes are rice pilaf (gluten free/vegan) and fresh roasted vegetable medley with balsamic glaze (gluten free/vegan). All will be served family style.

For dessert, couples move to the third assigned tables. New York style cheesecake with strawberry drizzle is the offered dessert. Decaf coffee and tea will also be available.

This is a popular event; it has sold out in previous years. The October activity fees are $68 per single person or $136 per couple. This is a member’s only event, however, a single member may bring a non-member guest for a total of $136. Only 160 registrations will be accepted. The last day to register is Saturday, October 10. No refunds given after that date. Use your email and password to sign in. Then click on Progressive Dinner under UPCOMING EVENTS. On-line registration and payment are preferred; it is easy to do. Payments by check should be made payable to Couples Club, and may be sent to Claire Oberhausen, 2110 Cactus Court, No. 2, E3, or put into a marked box by the front door. Make sure to indicate if you wish to have the vegetarian option when you register. Mail early to insure check is received by the due date Oct 10th.
